dalit community will not be free without participation in media. so it is very necessary to say that dalit should join the media and make the news in its originality.
Those who are already there, should highlight the dalit issues boldly and should not forget their responsibility towards their own society .
Young generation should choose journalism as their carrier and join in more numbers.
As I said earlier, dalits shluld create thier won media products- newsletters, wallpapers, blogs where necessary.. to ensure that thier voices are heard. Not enough to participate in existing media, we need a large number of local mdia products to meet local needs.
I can see clearly HT for BJP, TOI for Congress, there is no news paper for BSP. I think after politic media should next target. we should support one news paper that belongs to us only, then TV show, then TV channel,
to a large extent true nd neutral stories regarding justice when it comes to dalits r not brought out so even neutral persons are not able to side with justice so a media of dalits free frm all prejudices nd predilictions is a must
I think we have lot many small newspapers and magzines like in Maharashtra we have Samrat newspaper. Its good to have them but I belive that these are not enough. We should have a big publication or broadcasting network all over India and infuture in the world also. I also feel that these publications should reach the bigger mass ie the Bahujan samaj and not just the Neo-buddhist. It shoule not remain only as a news item but should act as a thought provoking and guiding force, a strong movement to bring about a radical change in the society.

Number of students from dalit family should get qualified IAS Exam ,so that one dalit can uplift more no. of dalit in their social/economic/educational life.

To this Blogger and all those who wrote about dalit issues, let me tell you what is happening and what is going to happen to the media with respect to dalit issues, they need nobody to write about them. Dalits were and are the greatest of great writers in India (go here: http://greatscholar.blogspot.com) you will see the list of so many saints from this opporessed section of our India.
